What is A Season of Promises about?
Heidi and Sophie are sisters with very different lives. Heidi is buttoned-up and chasing the play-by-play job for the local pro hockey team. Sophie is waiting tables while she tries to make it in stand-up comedy. A rift after their mother's death has kept them apart.
When their father, Ed, ends up in the hospital after a fainting episode, they rush to his side. He is still alone four years after losing their mother, so the sisters set their differences aside and team up to play Cupid at Christmas, helping him get ready to date.
